The History of the Forge

Founder Josh DiBlasi began with high-carbon steel, a cheap homemade forge, and a small anvil in Western New York. Hard lessons at the anvil became a studio standard: clean heat treatments, true grinds, and edges that hold up in the real world. Each day at the forge brought new challenges and opportunities for craftsmanship, shaping the evolution of the workshop. What started as a single bench has evolved into a dedicated workshop, where a single set of skilled hands still crafts each knife.
